The Hellenic Mountain Race is a fixed-route, unsupported, single-stage bikepacking race through the mountains of Greece. The clock does not stop and there are no prizes.

The 2027 course is 922 km with 27,831 m of elevation gain. It starts in Agios Athanasios, a stone village west of Thessaloniki, and finishes in Nafpaktos on the Gulf of Corinth. The route follows gravel roads, stone paths and tarmac through the Pindus Mountains, with three checkpoints: Smolikas, Melissourgi and Karpenisi, then the final climb over the Diaselo Kaliakoudas pass.

Categories: solo or pair.

  • Entry fee: £375 per rider;
  • tracker rental (if required): £50, one tracker per participant for pairs;
  • media license for sponsored riders: £50;
  • applications open 7–28 September.

The race requires experience with multi-day bikepacking trips and the ability to be self-reliant in a remote mountain environment.
